first big sewing project for 2009 (well I am hoping not TOO big....!!)
Quilts for the boys!! I've saved pieces for ages, (love the fabric, no project in mind, don't want to cut it, sits for along time while i ponder it's use!) then gathered even more afterI figured out what to do with what I already saved! made use of some pieces of vintage red corduroy my mom was getting rid of and i just couldn't NOT take home with me, and then bought some big mens shirts at bag sale and cut them up to add to the mix....
What's happening so far.... pieces are cut!! was hoping to find COWBOY material ( for jack) and RACE cars for Colten..... but i think i rather like the ginghams and plaid solids, just the way they are!... no actual sewing has occured yet... just laid the triangles on the carpet trying to figure out which layout I liked best, just free-styling and hope fully winging it! Took a photo of what i liked before i put it all away again! butI hope i don't sit on this one too long!... bunk beds are on the way, and how adorable would two matching vintagy quilts be?!
